Hi from a cute little town at the Atlantic coast!
After a ¨business day¨where we went to see the Toepfer facilities in Arroyo Seco and El Transito, we took a night bus down to Puerto Madryn. First of all, we thought, we better be prepared and take some food and warm clothes for the 17 hour bus ride. Well, we learnt that a budget trip can as well be very pleasant when we got served warm dinner, with red or white wine. We had blankets, pillows, several movies and then after dinner the choice of a whiskey or champagne... Basically more than you need when all you wanted is cheap transportation and a place to sleep at the same time - anyway, we enjoyed it as you might imagine.
The following nights where not quite as comfy as we stayed on a campground and had winds of about 720 km/h - at least that´s what it felt like. The dust layer on ourselves when we woke up the next morning was about 2 cm - not more, so that wasn´t too bad...
The 2 days we stayed here, we took some excursions, first to the peninsula Valdés, where we saw penguins, sea lions, sea elephants... Some local guy took us in his little Ford and he had no issues going 120km/h on the dirt roads. He didn´t feel the need to slow down, after an unintended U-turn in a curve either, but we got back home safe and that´s all that matters.
The following day we took a bus to Punta Tombo and saw Magellan penguins. There were about 900,000 and some lamas walking inbetween them. Really great. But we decided we don´t want mass tourism anymore, because we already got annoyed by the other people on the bus we had to wait for.
So today we´re heading down to Rio Gallegos (another 17h bus ride with one of those all inclusive buses!)
Hope you´re having adventurous days too!
Talk to you later, when we find internet again!

Ich war mit dem ICE in Hannover, ohne Champagner, Wiskey usw. aber pünktlich
Hey there! Being a stupid American I must ask - what is a sea elephant? It's not even in my dictionary. Maybe it's like a hippopotamus (pronounced like the lady at work). Since to stopped at Toepfer does that mean you can write this off as a business expense? Well, I'm off to type in the magic word that is written in a way that you have to be on crack to read it. At least this will know I'm not a computer though. Did pink Jesus make the trip? peace!
I forgot to ask if you thought about Jude when you saw the llamas. She would be sad if you didn't.
