Road of Death

Well, further to this article we can add, that it´s particularly dicy to ride this rode when it has been raining (as it did all night and all day today).
Nevertheless we enjoyed the ride a lot. It takes about 3h to get from La Paz to Coroico and as we had nothing much to do there, we took the road right back. Parts of the main road had been closed as last night rocks fell on there, so we had to take the dirt road detour (dirt road in the rain adds some extra spice...)
But we have to say, that we are not insane (as the people doing it on mountain bikes), but there were other people with us and there are several bus companies that run several times daily. So it has been done before and it wasn´t that bad after all. Well, that one time, when we had to pass the bus that was stuck in the mud and we had to go through parts of the stream going downhill... but anyway - it was a great experience!
